Resident Fellow Member Grants

NYCPS accepts applications from psychiatry residents for grants of up to $2,000 for psychiatric research. Please note: Applicants must be enrolled in a Psychiatry Residency Program in Manhattan or Staten Island and an active Resident Fellow Member of NYCPS (the local District Branch of the APA for programs in Manhattan and Staten Island). We apologize, but Resident Fellow Members of other District Branches, including Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Queens are not eligible to apply at this time. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year. Medical Student Grants

NYCPS accepts applications from currently enrolled medical students at schools located in Manhattan and Staten Island for grants of up to $2,000 for psychiatric research. Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis throughout the calendar year. Download the application here and email the completed form to [email protected] with "Med Student Grant Application" in the subject line. If your application is accepted, you must be a member of the APA at the time of funds disbursement. Medical student membership is free. Click here to apply to the APA as a medical student member.

Please note: NYCPS Resident Fellow Member and Medical Student Grants are to be issued directly to the individual grantee. All grant funds awarded are to be used exclusively for stated research purposes only. NYCPS prohibits institutional indirect costs or overhead to be taken out of grant monies.
