Elder abuse cases are complex with many situations involving multiple forms of abuse and leading to complex emotions, such as shame, self-blame, and fear. Speakers from the NYC Elder abuse Center/Weill Cornell Medicine will discuss the current environment of elder abuse, neglect, and financial exploitation. This session is designed as a refresher for members that are familiar with elder abuse and also for members looking to learn more about identifying elder abuse and activating a multi-disciplinary approach to intervention.
