Join the NYCPS United Nations Liaison Committee for a Parallel Event at the Commission on the Status of Women From Violence to Healing: Global Evidence and Policy Imperatives for Transgender and Gender-Diverse Mental HealthTransgender women are often excluded from feminist activism and in scholarship on violence against women, reflecting an added layer of structural exclusion within spaces that aim to address gender-based harm. We aim to explore the empirical evidence regarding violence against TGD individuals worldwide and its effect on mental health in an interactive presentation that aims to also identify evidence-based and promising interventions as well as knowledge gaps, research priorities and a call to action.
