Cognitive assessment as a component of a neuropsychiatric evaluation

Presenter: Dr. David M. Roane, Chairman of Psychiatry at Lenox Hill Hospital

Objectives:

Attendees will learn to:

1. Appreciate the importance of cognitive assessment in psychiatric practice

2. Understand how to selectively test the full range of cognitive domains

3. Learn to correlate cognitive findings with other elements of assessment, including the neurological exam, to localize pathology in the central nervous system
